South Dartmoor has a more temperate climate to some of the other areas of the moor but still has lots to offer the explorer at heart. Most famously home to Dartmoor Zoo, dramatized by Matt Damon and Scarlett Johansson in the Hollywood film We Bought a Zoo, South Dartmoor is now a foodie hotspot and great for those looking to dip in and out of country life. Located close to the Cornish border and separated from Plymouth by the A30 dual carriageway, popular towns and villages include; Buckfastleigh, Ivybridge and Yelverton.
